If you live in a part of the world where there’s snow right now, you may be getting a little bit tired of the winter. Where I live, it seems like the days are gloomy and cloudy for far too long until you finally get to see a glimmer of sunshine. It can be difficult to stay motivated in your practice during a cold gloomy winter. One of the easiest ways I’ve found to help beat my winter blues is to combine an awesome music playlist with a yoga practice that helps build up some tropical heat.

The benefits of listening to music are numerous and well documented. Music can improve your mood, reduce stress, and lessen anxiety. Coincidentally those are some of the same benefits as practicing yoga! Combining music and yoga is definitely a no-brainer and will add another layer of benefits to your practice. After all, music and moving your body go together like peas and carrots.
